SOCIAL
GVM

The Social GVM is an internal GVM program | Guimarães & Vieira de Mello Advogados (“GVM”), which consists of embracing causes that are relevant to the individual growth of the citizen, within two pillars that we firmly believe in: (1) Support the society, to provide basic conditions so the individuals can generate their own livelihood and their family’s; and (2) Support to Entities that assist in the comfort and inclusion of the most needy individuals.

In July 2018, GVM announced its next social action: to support two childcare centers for a minimum period of 12 months, in order to support the parents so that they can work, knowing that their children will be safe, receiving due care. In the disclosure, we asked that our followers share indications of institutions they trusted.

The office has appointed a team to carefully review all of the suggested daycare centers in order to select the two that will have initial support for 12 months. We’d like to thank the people who collaborated with the nominations, and we’ll let everyone know that they are in our database for future attendance.

And it is with great pleasure that we announce that the chosen ones were:

Clubinho
Day Care

CLUBINHO DAYCARE AND ASSOCIATION MAY FIRST DAYCARE is a complementary agent in a child’s socialization process. It is where they receive affection, physical care, and optimal conditions for their cognitive, symbolic, social, emotional-affective, and linguistic development. It also serves as a service provider for the community and, as such, seeks constant integration with the local community.

Founded by Belmira Luiza Carolo – Sister Marilene, from the Missionary Congregation Servants of the Holy Spirit and the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Victories – on September 20, 1984. It emerged with the aim of assisting the Vila União – Ponta Porã community, which had been a victim of a catastrophic flood from the Arrudas River, particularly affecting children.

Due to the lack of physical and economic resources in the local population, Clubinho has been, since its inception, a philanthropic, non-partisan institution that provides assistance without distinction of gender, creed, ethnicity, economic or physical situation.

Frei

Castagna
Day Care

Frei Paulo Castagna Daycare, located in the Morro Alto neighborhood in Vespasiano, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, was chosen among other equally necessary entities for its love, dedication, and commitment to the lives of children on the brink of imminent danger and the hope of becoming future respectable young people.

Frei Paulo Daycare has been in existence for 17 years and was founded by Father Gilson, known to the community through his projects, including the rescue of lives for society. In addition to the daycare, he maintains Casa de Nazaré, which shelters minors under 18 with a psychologically troubled background due to abuse, abandonment, neglect by parents, or those taken off the streets and referred by court order.
